Character studies · Venom (Marvel Rivals)
Venom takes up space.
That is part of his job.
That is a lot of Venom to fit into one small figure. The Marvel Rivals version has enormous shoulders and a mouth that could swallow its own caption. What made me look twice was the game team’s description of him: they designed a hunter, not a slow wall of black muscle.

Big enough to take a hit, quick enough to start one.
In a 2024 developer note, the Marvel Rivals team describes Venom as a Vanguard whose symbiote webs bring him into a fight before claws and tendrils break up the opposition. The exact balance of a game can change. The design idea is clearer and more durable: the character occupies a lot of space, then crosses it faster than that bulk suggests.
The team says it wanted the symbiote’s shapeshifting and appetite to come across in the design. That helps explain the figure’s oversized reach and open jaws. I do not need a table of damage numbers to understand why these parts push so far beyond a normal human outline.

The white spider keeps the hunter readable.
On the Blokees CC-07 photograph, the pale spider spreads across the chest and shoulders. White eyes and teeth punctuate the head. Without those bright landmarks, a small photograph of the black torso would be much harder to read, especially once the arms move in front of it.
The gallery’s pose diagram spreads the limbs around that chest mark. I would leave the spider visible and let the arms make the trouble around it. The promotional image shows possible arrangements; it does not tell me how strongly the joints hold them in a real assembled kit.
This Venom is funny to look at for about half a second, then the design makes sense. A huge mouth says hunger. Long limbs say reach. The bright spider keeps both attached to the same dark body. The hunter brief is visible before anybody presses a button.
