Green was not
the Hulk’s first colour.
The preCOOL Hulk has green skin, purple trousers and fists that have taken a generous share of the body’s available space. There is no difficulty identifying him. Which makes the little historical surprise rather good: the original Hulk was grey.

He did not start green.
The Incredible Hulk #1 introduced Stan Lee and Jack Kirby’s grey-skinned Hulk in 1962. Marvel’s reprint preserves that original look. Green followed, and grey versions later became part of his history too.
That changes how I look at the toy. Green now feels almost inseparable from Hulk, but it was not there on day one. A colour can become so familiar that an earlier choice looks like the surprising alternative.
This figure belongs to Spidey and His Amazing Friends. The old comic supplies the colour surprise; the preschool series explains the friendlier body and expression in front of us.
The fists still get plenty of room.
Marvel’s series announcement places Hulk among the heroes helping Team Spidey, with cooperation part of the brief. The strength stays. The stories give it a gentler place to be useful.
Blokees 74817 keeps the broad upper body, green skin and conspicuous hands. Purple trousers divide the shape cleanly, and the large head leaves room for an expression you can read at a glance.
I would leave a little space around the arms. The fists are a large part of this small figure’s personality. The green makes the rest of the introduction—even if it had to join the story later.
